Kelly Hunter - NSW Phoenix Women's Head Coach

Volleyball NSW is proud to announce Kelly Hunter as the Head Coach who will be leading our NSW Phoenix Women’s team into the 2025 Australian Volleyball Super League (AVSL) season.

Kelly Hunter, a respected coach and mentor within the Volleyball NSW high-performance system. Kelly has played a pivotal role in the development of elite female athletes across both indoor and beach volleyball, serving as Assistant Coach of the NSW Phoenix Academy and contributing to national-level success.

With a strong background in athlete development, Kelly is known for her ability to foster team cohesion, build confidence in emerging players, and implement tactical systems that bring out the best in her squads. Her leadership was on full display during the 2024 season, where she helped guide NSW Phoenix athletes through high-performance training camps and national competitions, including the SA Open and the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships. 

Kelly’s coaching philosophy centres on creating a supportive, high-expectation environment where athletes are empowered to grow — both as players and as people. We look forward to seeing how Kelly integrates her coaching style and philosophy into this season.
