The 2025 NSW Phoenix Super League season has officially come to a close—and what a thrilling ride it has been! From nail-biting finishes to standout performances, this year’s competition truly showcased the best volleyball talent from New South Wales going head-to-head with Australia’s finest.

This season marked a historic milestone for the NSW Phoenix program: for the first time ever, both our men’s and women’s teams qualified for the Australian Volleyball Super League semi-finals. This achievement reflects years of hard work and dedication from our athletes, coaches, and the entire volleyball community, who have worked tirelessly to build a strong foundation and nurture emerging talent across the state.

Our success wasn’t limited to the court. The NSW community and staff set a new benchmark for hosting home rounds, delivering world-class experiences for athletes and fans alike. Highlights include:

• Record attendance: 525 tickets sold for our Sydney home round and 228 for our regional round in Shoalhaven.
• Pathways development: During the Shoalhaven round, our pathways team delivered a special development session for Illawarra region athletes.

Phoenix Gold Numbers Awarded

From the very beginning of the NSW Phoenix journey, our vision was to build a long-term program with a proud history—one that our community and supporters could follow year after year. To celebrate this legacy, we introduced the NSW Phoenix Gold Pins, each engraved with a unique Phoenix Number, as a symbol of achievement for representing NSW Phoenix. This year, we proudly awarded this honor to seven men and two women:
