The 2025 SVL and YSVL seasons delivered another exciting year of volleyball, full of competitive energy and plenty of memorable moments. We saw a total of 152 senior and 118 youth teams compete in an impressive 1,907 matches, a huge increase from last year's 1,759 (2024) and 1,292 games in 2023.

Sydney Volleyball League (Senior) 

It was the last year of the Premier and Reserve competitions being a part of SVL and the teams really brought their all! We saw some nail bitting matches in the finals including the Men’s Premier Final with Sydney North winning their first MP title defeating Sydney Acers and ProVolley defending the Women’s Premier Gold Medal against Sydney Acers. 
Acers did however manage to take home the Gold in the Men’s and Women’s Reserve Matches and Women’s Division 1. 

In the first year of the new SVL pool and finals format we saw some exciting match ups and upsets in the Quarters and Semi Finals. Teams battled fiercely in Division 3 for promotion and we had some great finals matches across all SVL divisions.

Youth Sydney Volleyball League (YSVL) 

Another absolutely packed season for YSVL full of promising young athletes and exciting matches! Take a look at all of the final results on the Volleyball NSW website HERE. 

Club Champion Award 

Congratulations once again to Sydney Acers Volleyball Club who are the 2025 Club Champion Award winner with a total of 33 points. Followed by UTS in 2^nd with 21 points and Just Spike It in 3^rd with 17. The full table can be found on the SVL website HERE under Past Results. 

New Season 2026 

Some details on the 2026 Premier League, SVL and YSVL seasons will be released in the near future so stay tuned. 
 

NSWVRA 2025 Wrap Up 

A huge thank you to all for their efforts over the long 20 week season. We again reached new heights with 1,907 matches to service. Truly remarkable how we are able to rise to the occasion! The important thing is that each referee grew in their own confidence and ability over the course of the season and continues this fulfilling journey.
