Volleyball NSW Members Gather for 2026 Annual General Meeting

Volleyball NSW members, clubs, affiliates, staff and board came together on Saturday 6th June 2026 at the Volleyball NSW offices, in Sydney Olympic Park, for the organisation's Annual General Meeting, reflecting on the achievements of the past year and looking ahead to the future.
The meeting opened with a moving tribute to former Volleyball NSW staff member and beloved member of the NSW volleyball community, Yoshiko Ueda. Presented by Jess Mileusnic, the tribute honoured Yoshiko's lasting contribution to the sport and the many lives she touched throughout the volleyball community.
Members then heard from President Julien Prosser, who reflected on the year that was and highlighted key achievements across the organisation. CEO Rebecca Walter also provided an overview of Volleyball NSW's financial position and its continued commitment to sustainable growth and strong governance. Both Julien and Rebecca acknowledged that the organisation’s success over the past year was driven by the dedication of staff, volunteers, and the wider volleyball community.

The AGM also saw the election of directors to the Volleyball NSW Board. With three nominations received for three available positions, Julien Prosser, Matthew O'Connor and Stephanie Li were re-elected to the Board.
Following the AGM, the newly elected Board met and resolved to appoint Julien Prosser to continue as President of Volleyball NSW, reaffirming its confidence in his leadership and vision for the organisation.
"In 2025, Volleyball in NSW continued to grow with massive demand from our existing membership and a huge jump in demand for our school-aged competitions. This is great news for our growth ambitions over the next three years.
Venue access will, of course, continue to be an issue for us as we seek to take advantage of people's desire to play our amazing sport. We have bold plans to address this constraint.
It is with a renewed strategy that we now look forward to an exciting future for our sport that along with the support of our volleyball community we can continue to increase the access to and profile of volleyball across NSW.” - Julien Prosser, Volleyball NSW President
