Para Sports: Activate Inclusion Sports Day Coffs Harbour

Published Sat 24 Jun 2023

Activate Inclusion Sports Day (AISD): Thursday, June 15, 2023

As part of the Activate Inclusion Sports Day at Wilgulga Sports Complex, Volleyball NSW affiliated club Coffs Harbour Volleyball delivered an Adaptive Volleyball program to over 100 students from local schools. The purpose of this program is to provide local opportunities to engage and have fun with sport for school students with disabilities.

Volleyball NSW would like to take this opportunity to thank our Coffs Harbour Volleyball team members, Craig Little, Adam Kay, Greg Campbell, and Leigh-Erin Clowes for leading such fun and high-energy sessions for the students. Seeing the students get so excited about volleyball was wonderful, VNSW would like to thank the coaches at Coffs Harbour Volleyball and the club for putting themselves forward for this opportunity.

Without the assistance of our clubs, volleyball presence at these events would not be possible.

Our disability community greatly benefits from these events and opportunities. Bringing sports to them enriches their lives and builds a sense of belonging and community in them. Everyone, regardless of ability, can participate in sports and have a good time. As opportunities arise, VNSW looks forward to participating in them as well as supporting the expansion and promotion of adaptive and sitting volleyball in New South Wales.
