Youth Beach Academy

Purpose of the Program

With the commencement of the 2023/24 summer beach season, NSW Phoenix will be expanding its Beach Elite program after its successful inaugural season. Moving into 2024 this program will transition into the “Phoenix Beach Academy” which will be a year-round performance training program that will prioritize high-potential athletes in the Volleyball Australia Pathway.

This program is an exclusive training environment designed to support the long-term development of selected athletes. This will be achieved through a performance-oriented training environment facilitated by Phoenix Head Coaches. The program will also support athletes with in-competition coaching at selected VNSW and VA Beach events.

Moving into 2024 the “Academy” will integrate into youth and junior indoor Phoenix volleyball programs and will offer year-round servicing for selected athletes.

Criteria for selection

The program will serve athletes who are identified as NDP (National Development Program) as identified by Volleyball Australia. VNSW reserves the right to invite athletes.
