Youth Indoor Phoenix is the performance program to prepare NSW representative teams for the Australian Youth Volleyball Championships (AYVC) which will be hosted in Bendigo, Victoria from 16-20 September 2024.

Youth Indoor Phoenix is a state-wide age-specific program (Under 14, U15, U16, U17, and U18) that aims to target the highest-performing male and female athletes living within NSW. 

Selected athletes and coaches will go through a 2-Phase process including:

Trials: Open to any athletes born 2010. This year U15 Trials will consist of  Playday sessions over 8-weeks. 

Team Phase (starting 27th of July): The Squad group is narrowed to only athletes and coaches required for the AYVC. Selected athletes and coaches undergo further centralised development and training prior to traveling to and competing at the AYVC.

* During the Team Phase a number of Shadow Athletes will be named as official training partners and potential replacement athletes in the case of injury or illness of a team athlete. 

Important Information

Trials will be composed of several playdays to allow enough time and space for our young athletes to showcase their skills.

Time and date :

Playday 1: 25th of May -  1pm - 3pm

Playday 2: 1 of June - 1pm - 3pm

Playday 3: 8th of June - 1pm - 3pm

Playday 4: 15th of June - 1pm - 3pm

Playday 5: 22nd of June - 1pm - 3pm

Playday 6: 29th of June - 1pm - 3pm

Playday 7: 6th of July - 1pm - 3pm

Playday 8: 13th of July - 1pm - 3pm

**We expect you to attend as many playdays as you can to allow for proper assessments. 

Who:  Athletes born 2010 

Trial Cost: $240 + Transaction Fee (does not contribute to program cost if you are successful)

Whats included : Phoenix training top, 8 sessions, including playdays with Phoenix state team coaches.

Training camps will also include Phoenix play days. 

AYVC is set to take place yet again in Bendigo, Victoria from 16-20 September. The traveling team will depart Sydney 15th of September and return on the 20th of September 2024.

Athletes must be full members of Volleyball NSW.
