Court Bookings Information — Read Before Booking

All court bookings and payments must be completed at least two business days in advance. Bookings made without sufficient notice, or not paid, will result in the venue being closed at the requested time.

Once a booking is made, Volleyball NSW will arrange staff to facilitate the session. If, for any reason, the session cannot proceed, Volleyball NSW will begin the process to reschedule or refund the activity. Until you receive communication that the booking is APPROVED, it is assumed that the booking will not go ahead.

For any enquiries about the venue, please contact blacktowncitybeach@volleyballnsw.com.au.

Blacktown City Beach Court Maintenance

ALL facility users are expected to rake the courts they used in their bookings after use.

Follow our step-by-step instructions on how best to rake the courts or click on our tutorial and follow each step.

Once you have finished using the court:

1. Pull from under the net towards the middle of the court, both ends.

2. Pull from the sidelines towards reception positions from both sidelines at both ends.

3. Start at baseline corner pull from baseline to baseline across the court.

4. Using flat edge of rake over the top of the sidelines and baselines then shake sand off lines.

Sun Safety

We love the sun, but we also know how important it is to protect ourselves while enjoying the game! Please take a moment to follow these sun safety tips whenever you're on the sand:

🧴 Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, Slide

  • Slip on a light, long-sleeve shirt when not playing.

  • Slop on SPF 50+  broad-spectrum sunscreen at least 20 minutes before play — and reapply every 2 hours or after sweating.

  • Slap on a hat (wide-brimmed or cap) between matches or while coaching/watching.

  • Seekshade whenever possible — especially during breaks and between games.

  • Slide on sunglasses to protect your eyes from UV rays.

💧 Hydration is Key

  • Bring a reusable water bottle and drink regularly — even if you don’t feel thirsty.

  • Electrolyte drinks can help replenish what you lose through sweat on hot days.

⏰ Time Your Play

  • UV levels are usually highest between 10 AM and 3 PM. Plan for extra precautions during these hours.

🕶️ Look Out for Each Other

  • Keep an eye out for signs of heat stress or sunburn among players.

  • Encourage teammates and spectators to stay protected too.

✅ Be Prepared

  • Pack sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, extra water, and a towel for shade or cooling down.

  • Know where the nearest shade or indoor space is located.
