About Us

Volleyball New South Wales (VNSW) is the peak body for volleyball in the state. Our mission is to grow and enrich the sport by creating inclusive, engaging, and high-quality experiences for every participant—on court, off court, and online. We work closely with communities, affiliates, and stakeholders to ensure volleyball is accessible to everyone, everywhere, at every stage of life.

Our strategic focus is to expand access, drive engagement, grow membership, and ensure sustainability, while investing in infrastructure, grassroots participation, exceptional experiences, and athlete development pathways.

The Role

Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for leading the strategic direction, operations, and growth of Volleyball NSW. The CEO will:

• Provide visionary leadership to deliver on Volleyball NSW’s strategic plan.
• Build strong partnerships with government, commercial sponsors, affiliates, and the broader community.
• Lead the development of new infrastructure, including a state-wide Places to Play strategy and the establishment of a “home” for the sport.
• Drive grassroots participation and community programs that reflect our values of inclusivity and empowerment.
• Ensure the delivery of exceptional competitions, events, and digital engagement.
• Oversee financial management, governance, and organisational sustainability.
• Inspire and develop a high-performing team committed to excellence, teamwork, and fun.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, forward-thinking leader with proven experience in sport, community, or not-for-profit management. You will bring strong commercial acumen, outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, and a track record of delivering participation and revenue growth. Most importantly, you will have a genuine passion for sport and a commitment to building an inclusive and vibrant volleyball community.
