New Partnership: Volleyball NSW & Power Potential

VOLLEYBALL NSW PARTNERS WITH POWER POTENTIAL TO SUPPORT ATHLETE HEALTH AND WELLBEING ACROSS THE SPORT

 

MEDIA RELEASE – Sydney, Australia – 20/03/2026 – Volleyball NSW is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Power Potential, a leading Sport Science, health, wellbeing and injury prevention centre based in Alexandria, aimed at enhancing support for athletes across all levels of the sport.

From athletes competing at the highest levels through to those participating at club level, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to promoting health, wellbeing and long-term participation in volleyball. With volleyball recognised as a sport for all, both organisations are aligned in supporting athletes to perform, recover and stay healthy throughout their sporting journey.

Volleyball NSW CEO, Rebecca Walter, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to athlete wellbeing and recovery. “We’re proud to celebrate our partnership with Power Potential, which strengthens the way we support wellness, recovery and connection across our system. Together, we’re creating clearer, more accessible pathways for volleyball athletes to access the support they need to thrive.”

Power Potential is a multidisciplinary sport science performance and recovery centre that focuses on the athlete, combining physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, and recovery services. The organisation works with athletes and active individuals to help them perform at their best while prioritising long-term health and injury prevention.

Power Potential CEO, George Psyhogios, said the partnership is an exciting step forward in expanding athlete support. “We’re proud to partner with Volleyball NSW, an organisation that shares our commitment to athlete wellbeing. This partnership expands access to high-quality recovery and performance services across the volleyball community.”

Through the partnership, senior athletes within the NSW Phoenix program will receive specialised support from Power Potential as they prepare for upcoming seasons. The collaboration will focus on injury prevention, recovery strategies and enhancedperformance strategies to help athletes manage the demands of training and competition.

Power Potential Clinical Director, Efrem Bunguric, said the collaboration will bring a structured, evidence-based approach to athlete care. “Our mission is to elevate athletes through science-backed performance care, and this partnership allows us to implement structured, evidence-based approaches to injury prevention, recovery and performance in a high-performance volleyball environment.”

             

 

By integrating recovery expertise, performance services and athlete education, the partnership aims to ensure Phoenix athletes are physically prepared and supported throughout their performance training and competition schedules, while also reinforcing a broader commitment to athlete wellbeing across the volleyball community.

Exciting news for all our Volleyball NSW members is they will have access to a 10% discount on individual appointments for wellness, recovery, diagnostics and testing services, excluding Physiotherapy and Massage. More details to come on this to our valued members.

The partnership represents another step in strengthening the support available to volleyball athletes across New South Wales, helping players at every stage of the sport access the knowledge and care needed to stay healthy, active and performing at their best.
