NSWVRA Referee Course Participant Record!

The NSW Volleyball Referees Association, in conjunction with Volleyball NSW, recently hosted a successful Level 2 Refereeing Course at Netball Central on April 29th, 2023. The course was well attended, with 75 participants, representing 17 clubs across the state all eager to learn about the rules, positioning, and game management strategies required to officiate volleyball games.
Throughout the course, the attendees received theoretical and practical training, which included practicing their skills on the court while working through different scenarios. The course presenters shared their extensive knowledge and experiences, which helped the participants gain a better understanding of the sport and its intricacies.
The participants were passionate and dedicated to learning the required skills, and many had aspirations to become successful volleyball referees in their communities. The Level 2 Refereeing Course not only equipped them with the necessary skills but also helped them develop a deeper appreciation for the game.
The NSW Volleyball Referees Association and Volleyball NSW expressed their appreciation to the course presenters Kristina Knezovic, Nick Thorpe and Scott Le, as well as all those who attended, highlighting their commitment to the growth and development of the sport in the state.
As the newly certified referees return to their respective communities, they carry with them the responsibility of ensuring the integrity of the game and ensuring fair play. With their passion and dedication, the future of volleyball refereeing in New South Wales looks bright.
