Our Sport. Our Plan.

OUR SPORT. OUR PLAN.
On Saturday 6th June, we’ll be sharing something that belongs to all of us.
A new strategic plan for volleyball in NSW - shaped by our community, grounded in real experiences, and focused on where we’re heading next, together.
But before we reveal the full plan, we wanted to give you a glimpse of what’s coming… because this isn’t just another announcement.
It’s our response.
We Heard You
Over the past year, we’ve had conversations across courts, beaches, club meetings, at competitions, and through open surveys.
We’ve spoken to the people who make this sport what it is, and a clear message came through:
We need support.
We need growth.
We need a stronger voice.
So, we listened - and this plan reflects that.
Every priority, every commitment, and every direction comes from what our community told us it needs next.
A Plan to Lead
This isn’t just a strategy.
It’s a statement of intent.
We believe volleyball in New South Wales can set the pace not only in results but also in participation, experience, and how we support the people who make the game possible.
That belief comes from listening.
From seeing the passion in our clubs, the commitment of volunteers, and the unrealised potential in communities right across NSW.
This plan sets a clear direction for where we’re going and a stronger commitment to how we’ll lead, together.
Stepping Up with and for Our Clubs
One message came through loud and clear: clubs are carrying a lot.
Too often, volunteers and administrators are left challenged by a lack of court space, funding, and recognition, on top of everything else they already give to the sport.
So we’re stepping up.
We’re taking responsibility for leading the advocacy for volleyball in NSW to secure better facilities, stronger investment, and a clearer voice in decision-making.
That doesn’t replace clubs.
It stands with them and works for them.
So the people on the ground can focus on delivering great volleyball experiences.
Growth That Directly Supports the Game
Growth matters, but only if it delivers real value.
Every partnership we build, and every opportunity we create, has one purpose:
to reinvest back into the volleyball community.
Because when volleyball in NSW grows stronger, it means:
-
more support for clubs and affiliates
-
better resources for coaches, officials and volunteers
-
more opportunities for players at every level
This isn’t growth for headlines.
It’s growth that strengthens the game where it counts.
A Shared Plan, Brought to Life Together
Here’s the most important part: a strategy only matters if it changes what people experience.
This plan sets the direction, but bringing it to life means working alongside our community:
-
testing ideas
-
learning what works
-
improving as we go
This isn’t top‑down.
It’s a shared plan, built on partnership, clarity and accountability.
You'll be able to see it.
Saturday 6 June

We’ll be launching the full Strategic Plan at our AGM and sharing the details behind this direction.
Until then, here’s what you need to know:
-
we heard you
-
we’re stepping up
-
and we’re aiming higher than ever before
This is our sport.
This is our plan.
And this is just the beginning.
