Volleyball NSW Celebrates the Official Launch of Premier League Volleyball

Volleyball NSW proudly marked an exciting milestone with the official launch of Premier League Volleyball, bringing together clubs, partners, and key stakeholders for a dynamic event that set the tone for the season ahead. The launch served as both a celebration of a new era of Volleyball in NSW and a strategic briefing, highlighting the league’s vision, expectations, and commitment to raising the standard of volleyball across the state.

Representatives from all Premier League clubs came together for the first formal gathering of the season. The event fostered connection, collaboration, and alignment, giving clubs the opportunity to engage with one another and strengthen the culture that underpins the competition. This shared space reinforced the importance of collective progress as the league continues to grow and Volleyball NSW thanks all involved for coming along the journey with us to date.

"The launch of Premier League Volleyball marks an exciting evolution for our sport. It demonstrates what we can achieve together as demand for a more sophisticated, competitive indoor league continues to grow. I want to acknowledge and thank our clubs and our wider community, whose collaboration with Volleyball NSW has been central to bringing this vision to life. The future is exciting, and I’m confident the Premier League will set a new benchmark for our sport in Australia." Volleyball NSW President, Julien Prosser

A highlight of the event was the unveiling of the new Premier League perpetual trophies—symbols of excellence that will be awarded to both the men's and women's winning premier league teams. These trophies represent more than success; they signify legacy, ambition, and the long‑term evolution of the competition. Their reveal added prestige and excitement to the season launch, giving athletes and clubs a tangible reminder of what they’re striving for – big thank you to Volleyball NSW President Julien Prosser and board member Stephanie Li for assisting with the unveiling.

The event also featured a special partner-led presentation from Hudl's Hugo Dempsey and Club Ducks Brett Gillet, NSW Volleyball Referees Association George Chalhoub, and Volleyball NSW Integrity Manager Mark Marino. Each presentation offered valuable insights and expertise relevant to clubs, coaches, and athletes for the season ahead. Their involvement also played a crucial role partners play in advancing the competition and supporting sustainable growth of volleyball at all levels.

"Premier League Volleyball represents more than a competition — it reflects the shared journey we are on with our clubs. Together, we are innovating, lifting standards, and professionalising both on and off the court. This season marks an important step forward, built on collaboration, ambition, and a collective commitment to shaping the future of Volleyball in NSW. We’re proud to stand alongside our clubs and partners as we continue to evolve and create new opportunities for our community." - Volleyball NSW CEO, Rebecca Walter

The Premier League Volleyball launch marks the beginning of an exciting new era for the sport in NSW. With strong clubs, engaged partners, and a clear vision for the season ahead, Volleyball NSW is proud to lead a competition that reflects the progression toward a semi‑professional league and expanded opportunities for all involved. Volleyball NSW extends its sincere thanks to our clubs, Board Members, and staff for their attendance and the hard work that brought this event to life. A special thank you also goes to Board Member Stephanie Brantz for her outstanding work as MC on the day.

More information, including season fixtures and club features, will be shared soon as Premier League Volleyball prepares to take centre stage in 2026.
