Volleyball NSW to Celebrate Pride Month Throughout June 2026

Volleyball NSW will celebrate Pride Month throughout June 2026, reflecting the organisation's commitment to creating a sport where people feel welcome, supported and connected through a shared love of volleyball.

The month provides an opportunity to acknowledge LGBTQIA+ communities and celebrate the athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and supporters who contribute to volleyball across New South Wales. It is also a chance to highlight the people and communities that help make volleyball a welcoming and inclusive sport.

Throughout June, Volleyball NSW will encourage participants to show their support in visible and creative ways while continuing to adhere to competition uniform requirements.

The month will culminate with the inaugural Volleyball NSW Pride Round on Sunday 28th June 2026, showcased by Premier League Volleyball (PLV) teams.

To mark the occasion, Volleyball NSW Pride Round socks will be available for purchase from the first playing weekend of June through to the end of the month. The socks will be worn across Premier League Volleyball (PLV), State Volleyball League (SVL) and Youth State Volleyball League (YSVL) competitions, providing a simple and visible way for players, officials and supporters to get involved.

Volleyball NSW thanks Valour Sport for partnering with us to bring these limited-edition Pride Round socks to life.

By wearing the socks throughout June, participants across different competitions and levels of the sport can help bring colour into the game and demonstrate their support as part of a shared community initiative.

Further information about Pride Round and Pride Round sock availability will be shared throughout June.
